Our CEO, Antonios Oikonomou, participated in a panel attended by leaders and experts from the Catalan, Spanish and European semiconductor ecosystems at the Palau de la Generalitat de Catalunya to discuss the challenges in transferring technologies from academia to industry, especially within the context of appropriate infrastructure, operational excellence and commercial relevance.

As a result, expanding industry-standard R&D facilities has become essential for bridging the gap between laboratory innovations and mass production.
A key highlight from the event was the exciting potential of the upcoming advanced R&D facility in Catalonia, INNOFAB. This significant development marks a major step toward advancing industrialisation and technology transfer efforts, catalysing the commercialisation and scale-up of cutting-edge semiconductor technologies.
