    We are looking for a world-class Process Integration Engineer to join our Barcelona team and work together to push the limits of our QSTACK process technology. The successful candidate will work with an extended team to design process flows, drive to root cause of device failures and be a central figure in cross-functional communication.

    How a day might look like

    • Work with process module owners and/or external vendors to develop and optimize processes.

    • Own the die scale process to wafer scale process transfer of our QSTACK process technology.

    • Develop in-line metrology procedures and correlate end-of-line data to process parameters.

    • Design and execute experiments for device optimization.

    • Gather specifications from internal customers and communicate requirements to process module owners to deliver high-quality products and prototypes.

    • Work as needed with teams in design, process, equipment support, testing, and failure analysis to fully understand device performance and potential failure modes.

    • Report results to cross-functional teams for feedback and further requirements definition.

    • Drive to improve yield, streamline processes, and decrease cycle times.

    About you

    • Strong, hands-on experience in at least one area of semiconductor fabrication processing: lithography, etching, thin film deposition, etc.

    • Demonstrated history of innovation, problem-solving and failure analysis.

    • Strong knowledge of materials and electrical characterization techniques such as SEM/TEM, ellipsometry, profilometry, AFM, probe station measurements, etc.

    • Knowledge of CMOS manufacturing.

    • Experience with defect metrology and analysis.

    • Experience in managing internal/external vendors.

    • Proven working knowledge of design of experiments (DOEs) and data analysis software (such as JMP).

    • Proven working knowledge of R&D to high-volume manufacturing processes, SPC, Cpk.

    • Must have excellent teamwork, communication, documentation and presentation skills.

    • MSc/PhD in relevant field and deep understanding of device physics.

    • Development of advanced patterning processes for colloidal quantum dot based image sensors using lithography and etching techniques.

    • Assess device performance, and correlate with process parameters.

    How a day might look like:

    • Design experimental strategies and perform lab work including synthesis of colloidal quantum dots and formulation of inks for optoelectronic applications.

    • Collaborate with the R&D team to produce samples and optimize colloidal quantum dots and ink formulations for optoelectronic devices.

    • Develop metrology procedures and correlate end-of-line data to process parameters.

    • Develop/improve quality control methodology for incoming and outgoing materials.

    • Experience with absorption spectroscopy, FTIR, TEM, UPS, XPS and other relevant metrology techniques for colloidal quantum dots.

    • Experience in managing internal/external vendors.

    We are looking for a world-class wide-spectrum image sensor CMOS pixel designer to join our Barcelona-based team and work together to push the limits of Qurv’s wide-spectrum image sensor technology. You will be working closely together with product, process and integration functions. Your expertise in designing small pitch CMOS pixels using EDA tools and TCAD will play an important role in shaping our future products.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design, simulate, and verify wide-spectrum image sensor in-pixel CMOS read-out circuitry with optimal performance and functionality compatible with customer requirements.

    • Collaborating with process engineering teams to develop new pixel read-out designs compatible with our QSTACKTM thin-film process technology.

    • Conducting rigorous simulations and analyses to predict and optimize pixel behavior and performance under various conditions.

    • Interacting with CMOS foundries to choose the optimal technology node, work with PDKs and ensure compatibility with customer specifications and QSTACKTM technology.

    • Iteratively refining pixel designs based on simulation results to achieve desired performance metrics, such as sensitivity, quantum efficiency, noise characteristics, and dynamic range.

    • Developing and implementing test structures for characterizing pixel performance and validating design simulations.

    • Engaging in the optimization of pixel layout, circuitry, architecture, and process to enhance performance metrics and manufacturing yield.

    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of pixel designs into the overall image sensor systems.

    Requirements:

    • Proficiency in utilizing EDA tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Design Compiler) and TCAD software for CMOS image sensor design, simulation, and verification.

    • Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and CMOS fabrication processes.

    • Proven track record in designing and optimizing small pitch CMOS image sensor pixels for performance metrics such as quantum efficiency, sensitivity, noise, and dynamic range.

    • Experience in developing test structures and methodologies for pixel characterization and validation.

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, process engineering, integration, and device functions.

    • Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders such as customers or technology providers.

    • M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Semiconductor Physics, or a related field.
